Terrorists vs disgruntled employees

Remember several stories a few years ago when a disgruntled employee came to his (former) office and shot several of his (former) co-workers or arbitrary employees of the company (before killing himself)?

Suppose this way of dealing with frustration became fashionable and a loosely-knit "organization" calling itself "ALliance of Killers: Annoyed Employees who are Disgruntled Absolutely" had been formed, employing every possible means of communication, so that every time a disgruntled employee commits an act of mass murder-suicide, the organization claims responsibility. No one feels secure anymore even at their office workplaces; there is no way to identify an ALK:AEDA member. What is the society to do to prevent panic?

And how would that situation be different from the current one?

I think I have read about disgruntled terrorists who are now fighting each other in IRaq and Afghanistan and perhaps Arabian Peninsula...

No, I was thinking about the events in London. If a destructive activity becomes technically feasible AND fashionable in some circles, how do you stop it in general? What's the use lulling ourselves into thinking that these "terrorists" can be appeased? Maybe they can be, maybe they cannot. How do you appease a disgruntled employee if you do not even know he was disgruntled before he came with a gun and shot everybody?

Perhaps, the state might open an Appeasement Center for Disgruntled Employees and advertise it heavily ;-)

This will not work if "disgruntled employee" is a politically incorrect term.

I would skip the appeasement, however, regardless of its feasibility...

Going back to the point, I do not see a feasible way to stop the "I don't like you" bombings, suicide or not, from happening. The IRA at least had some agenda.

If we have a significant problem with the "I don't like you" bombings, we'll have to think about this.

I don't see how "Muslim terrorism" has anything in common with "I don't like you" bombings. It's more like Russian revolutionary terrorism of the 19th century --- there is a very well defined totalitarian revolutionary agenda behind this...

I can agree with "totalitarian" and bring myself to agree with "revolutionary", but not with "very well defined". I think that the collapse of most totalitarian regimes brought them into the frustration mode, and it is scary.
