Смотрю это я англоязычный научно-популярный ролик канала SciShow про рост людской - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4-oGyisP9Hw

В нём, разумеется, не обошлось без упоминания, что тестостерон влияет на рост костей несколько сильнее, чем эстроген, поэтому __1__ в среднем несколько выше, чем __2__.

В благословенные времена было 1 = males, 2 = females. В политкорректные времена было бы примерно 1 = born males, 2 = born females.

Но нет, в вокнутые времена так уже нельзя. Поэтому 1 = people assigned male at birth, 2 = those assigned female at birth.

Чтоб им черти в аду посмертно гендер назначали.

Пол мы получили от бога. А гендер от кого-то другого, очевидно. 😀

Бог с таким имиджем выходит гермафродит, должно было быть "in the image of God they created them". Собственно, в оригинале "элохим" - множественное число.

I wonder why gender had to be mentioned at all.

1 = people who have balls, 2 = people who don't.

I wonder if this gender battle happens in other languages and in what form. Eg in German "they" is a polite "you", and it behaves like 3rd person plural. And if you use 3rd person singular, "they" becomes "she".

That's pretty much the same as "assigned *** at birth" in other words, as it is external genitalia which typically serve as the basis of the assigned gender.

Pretty much the same, just eliminates human agency from the act of "assigned at birth", as if anyone made an arbitrary choice that can turn out to be wrong.
