1. To urban, suburban and rural youths: If your words or actions make someone fear for their life, don't be surprised when you're mortally wounded.

2. To friends, relatives and groupies of said youths of any age or skin color: Fear is the easiest emotion to sympathize with.

What is required is "a reasonable [emph. mine. dvv] fear of imminent peril of death or great bodily harm". Just talking trash hardly qualifies as a good reason for that.

Of imminent peril of death or great bodily harm? I strongly doubt so. But you can always try to get a restraining order against the trash talker.

ИМХО, урок тут другой. Если ты имел наглость применить оружие для самообороны против человека привилегированной расы, ты можешь оказаться на пути политически мотивированной государственной машины, а также прессы и обычных уголовников из той самой расы. Чтобы доказать свою правоту государственной машине придется потратить пару сотен тысяч долларов. И еще не факт, что это все - активисты борьбы за права гопников требуют теперь завести федеральное дело. Ну а против уголовников и приема-то особо нет. Разве что уехать в другой штат и поменять имя с Циммерман на Гольдфарб, чтобы не узнали.
