Ответ на биогеографическую загадку

В предыдущем посте я задал загадку

Если верить сайту nomadist.com, у Медельина, дельфина, Картахены и косатки есть нечто общее.

Что именно?

Вместо того, чтобы думать над собственно вопросом, народ начал придираться к неуточнённости местонахождения Картахены или написанию слова "косатка", и за двое суток так никто ни одного разумного предположения, ни правильного, ни неправильного, не сделал, а ответ прост:



Они все китообразные. Сайт nomadist.com выдаёт Медельин и Картахену (оба в Колумбии), как города, наиболее похожие на город Кито.

Там в первом ряду ещё и Богота и Лима упоминаются, но их использовать было бы уже совсем "на ля- начинается, на -гушка кончается".

In my defense - my research has shown that Medellina and Cartagena have Orcas in them: an organization that takes care of animals and Caribbean orthopaedics respectively. Surely you couldn't be meaning that?

Как в этому случае будет сформулирован предикат, истинный для всех четырех упомянутых объектов? И зачем для этого ответа надо было бы верить сайту nomadist.com?

"Why is raven like a writing desk" type of conundrum doesn't need much justification. In my mind nomadist.com was just a source of inspiration, and in my mind the puzzle worked in any language, although turns out it doesn't.

The answer to the conundrum "Poe wrote on both" also works in English, but not in Russian. That's why reasoning about a puzzles like that when a pun answer may be expected, is better in the same language in which it was posed.

My point is that "because there is a b in both, and because there is an n in neither" works just as well as the "Poe..." version.

Not really. "Formal" equivalences involving words rather than underlying meanings, are a dime a dozen, and none is better than the next one.
