Одно из самых сложных в мире чисто механических устройств - разностная машина Бэббиджа, выставленная в музее истории компьютеров в Маунтайн Вью, заканчивает длительные гастроли и скоро будет возвращена владельцу - Нэйтану Мирволду. Кто еще не видел, спешите видеть! Последний день - 31 января.
After eight years at the Computer History Museum (CHM), the Babbage Difference Engine No. 2 is bidding farewell and returning to its owner.
The Difference Engine No. 2 has had a wonderful home at the Museum. Our Babbage demonstrations have amazed more than 500,000 visitors, providing them with a glimpse into what computing was like in the 19th century. Special thanks to CHM docent Tim Robinson and the Babbage team, who have been brilliant stewards of the device since its arrival at the Museum in 2008.
We want to make sure everyone gets a chance to see the Difference Engine No. 2 in action one more time. Please check our demonstrations schedule for regular and additional demonstrations of the Difference Engine No. 2. The final demonstration will be January 31, 2016.
